Born and raised in Cayman Brac. I am a 23-year-old singer-songwriter, recording artist, painter and dancer, Antonia Mena-Hebbert formally known as Madam Nirosa. I have been a part of the Performing Arts industry from a young age. I have partaken in musicals, competitions, choir, dance groups, and more. As the last child of my family, I’ve carried on the creative influences of my siblings and parents. Performing arts has always been the fire that ignites the fuel of passion beneath my belt. This innovative energy runs through my veins and is who I am.
As a big fan of Broadway and jazz, I have a soulful voice to compliment both. I enjoy dressing the part and getting into character. I am quite an explorer when venturing off into other genres of music such as Soca, Afro-beats, R&B, Reggae, Latin, Country, etc. I have great spirit, bubbly wits and certainly full of surprises.
I started my transition of becoming an independent recording artist in 2023, and I’ve released three new singles ‘Summa Fling’, ‘Cherry Plum’ and ‘Move Yuh Waist’ since then. I started these as a part of a series called ‘Caribbean Tea’ because there are many day-to-day activities and related topics that commence within our community and other neighboring countries. So, I thought it would be interesting to capture my viewpoint of these areas through my talents. I enjoy both traditional and modern ways of music. So, I experimented and voila! I made these three songs. Of course, there is much more to come, but I am very grateful for the blessings and achievements that I have made so far in my musical journey.
