Comprised of Shane Allenger and Sean Hennings, the creative duo Hi Tide have become renowned across the Cayman Islands and the global space at large for their colourful fusion of catchy classics and contemporary pop gems. Infectioussong choices, softly expressive vocals and an uplifting energy on the stage has carved out a noteworthy reputation – and earned valued support from commercial radio and popular music blogs along the way.
Forever balancing a keen audience awareness with evocative and engaging musicianship, the band’s cover of Bob Marley’s ‘Waiting In Vain’ was released on an Italian Compilation album, and both their originals and covers have received extensive airplay on Satellite Radio – not least of all on Kenny Chesney’s ‘No Shoes Radio’, Sirius XM (Ch. 59).
As of 2024, the duo has released their latest folk-pop/reggae single, a cover of “Daydream” by The Lovin’ Spoonful. This single along with their 2023 release “Island In The Sun” will be a part of their 2025 full album, yet to be titled.Their expansive catalogue continues to be celebrated on Cayman Islands radio, and with their performance history spanning from mainland USA to Hawaii, Canada, Europe, South America and the Caribbean, including everything from private gigs and events to mini-tours and festivals, they continue to showcase a fearless devotion to the craft.
